As we sat in church last Sunday at Harvest Bible Chapel of North Phoenix a video was shown of the total devastation to the country of Haiti from last weeks earthquake. Our HEARTS were touched…How can we help?
Please read below what Harvest Bible Chapel is doing and why MSC is partnering with Harvest Bible Chapels to raise money for the Churches of Haiti.
Every dollar that is donated to Mitchell Swaback Charities will be MATCHED dollar for dollar up to $10,000 – Doubling our efforts to help the church of Haiti.
If you have been watching the images coming out of Haiti this past week, then you have been gripped by the faces of despair, pain, and anguish of those who have lost loved ones and most of their earthly possessions in last Tuesday’s earthquake. The outpouring of humanitarian aid, rescue efforts, and financial support by the international community has been very encouraging. Close to a billion dollars has already been committed by countries from around the world.
But what about the church? The Bible gives us very clear instruction on our role in helping the church. Galatians 6:10 says: “So then, as we have an opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
Harvest Bible Chapel North Phoenix has committed to partner with James MacDonald and other Harvest Bible Chapels from around the world to raise funds to help the church in Haiti. We, at MSC, are encouraged to partner in this work to help those once again who truly can’t help themselves.
