Casa de Esperanza (Hope House)
On March 13th, 2010, Mitchell Swaback Charities will be teaming up with Harvest Bible Chapel to begin a new project in Humboldt Park, Illinois. Through the generous gifts from Harvest Bible Chapel, including over $200,000 already raised will be used to completely renovate a two story structure that will be known as "Casa de Esperanza" (Hope House). New Life Covenant Ministries is a ministry that literally brings women in off the street that may be homeless or drug addicted. They start by sending them to a farm for life skills and discipleship. Lastly these single mothers and their children will be able to stay at Casa de Esperanza for a period of 12 months, while they obtain the necessary support services and resources to successfully transition into permanent affordable housing.
The building has been demoed down to the bare stud walls and is ready for construction. Renovation includes brand new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, drywall, exterior windows, exterior and interior doors, wood and tile floors, paint, kitchen and bathroom cabinets and kitchen appliances. This turn key project will be used to make a difference in many lives. Please consider being part of this project by helping us raise the remaining $35,000 needed to complete this project. Donate to "Casa de Esperanza" today.
Please watch for our monthly progress updates with photos. We also have a need to find licensed sub contractors who would like to partner with us on this project. For more information please contact Brad Swaback.

I knew the demo day was going to be cold, wet, dusty and dirty. I was not looking forward to it but when I drove away I was so thankful to be part of an amazing group of people who worked thier tails off for 8 hours knowing our work is going to impact people who we will never know but have a major, lasting, impact on thier lifes! I was also reminded of just how blessed I am!

I saw a video about this project at church and was so moved. It reminded me of a recent time in my life when I had lost all hope and had lost all sense of how to go on. But God was there! And God's people were there! I see this home as another way that God will use His people to provide His hope and direction to women who find themselves lost in the circumstances of life.
I am so excited to have the opportunity to be part of this work!
