Orphanage in Lima, Peru
When Mitch went on his first mission trip in June of 2002 it changed his life forever. After returning home, Mitch began seeking God’s guidance to see if he should go into mission work full time. When Mitch visited Lima, Peru he spent his days repairing an existing orphanage and played with the kids at night. Mitch loved these kids and wanted to impact their lives. Brian Medaglia, Mitch’s college pastor, shared with the Foundation the need for a new orphanage and how Mitch committed to go back and help build the new building.
The Mitchell Swaback Foundation has committed to partner with Kids Alive and finance the construction cost to build the first of six homes. Each home will cost $35,000.00 to build and will house eight children and their house parents.

My name is Stephanie Fletcher and I stumbled upon this website while looking for orphanages here in Lima, Peru. I've lived here with my family for about 5 months. We moved to Lima from Texas to serve as missionaries and I personally would love to work with an orphanage as a volunteer. I'm not sure what all you have going on in Lima but would love to know if I can help in any way. Your son sounds like an amazing man and praise God that his legacy is living through all this amazing work.
Blessings to you,
Stephanie (Lee, Sofia 5, Maddox 3, Liam 6 months)
